UHNMAC arrays: ChIP-on-Chip
home services platforms UHNMAC arrays: ChIP-on-Chip

ChIP-on-Chip hybridisations allow researchers to identify regulatory regions that may be affected by a particular protein. For the ChIP-on-Chip service, the researchers is responsible for preparing a sufficient amount of amminoallyl-labelled amplified DNA following the immunoprecipitation.

Service includes:

  • Amplified DNA quality checked with Nanodrop
  • Labelling of two DNA samples per array with cyanine-3 and cyanine-5 (total input control/no-antibody control and one experimental). The UHNMAC may choose to substitute Alexa dyes for the cyanine dyes. For all experiments, the dyes will be kept consistent.
  • Hybridisation/washing/scanning of arrays
  • Image files sent to customer (CD or FTP)
  • Spot quantification (ArrayVision™)
We also offer an optional data analysis service. Please enquire directly for more information.

Please note: Due to reduced demand of our in-house printed cDNA microarrays, they will be discontinued by July 31st, 2010. They will only be made available for on-going projects with minimum order requirement. Please contact for details.

Pricing: Please contact us. (last updated: January 2011)
Please note that this pricing is for academic groups. Commercial customers should contact us for a quote.

ChIP-on-Chip experiments can be performed on Human CpG island arrays (15K, 12K, 8.1K) and Mouse CpG island arrays. Please see the microarray types page for more information on each array.

Please note that special paperwork is required for shipping biological samples from locations outside of Canada. For the Customs documentation that you will need, please download this form . Once you send us this information, the UHN Customs Officer will generate the appropriate Customs document and send it to you via e-mail. This document must be included with the waybill on your package.

ChIP-on-Chip is also available on the Agilent array platform.
