Illumina Methylation BeadChips offer researchers a high-density tool for high-density tool for interrogation of
methylation sites at nucleotide resolution. The HumanMethylation27 BeadChip covers 27,578 CpG loci spanning more than
14,000 genes. The HumanMethylation450 BeadChip covers more than 450,000 methylation sites allowing the screening for
genome-wide association study (GWAS) populations.
The all-new HumanMethylation450 BeadChip is not reliant on methylated DNA capture methods and offers coverage of all
designable RefSeq genes, including promoter, 5', and 3' regions, without bias against those lacking CpG islands.
Additional high-value content, selected with the guidance of an expert consortium, includes:
- CpG islands and shores
- CpG sites outside of CpG islands
- Non-CpG methylated sites identified in human stem cells
- Differentially methylated sites identified in tumor versus normal (multiple forms of cancer) and across several tissue types
- CpG islands outside of coding regions
- miRNA promoter regions
- Disease-associated regions identified through GWAS
Sample Requirement:
We request 500 ng of bisulfite-converted DNA per sample using Zymo EZ DNA methylation kit (Zymo Research).
